Hello Everyone,
Sorry for being so late to begin the blogging. Jodi and I had a crazy March/April and I just haven't had the time to sit at the keyboard.
2014 got underway at River District on Saturday, May 3 under cloudy skies but enjoyed seeing Wendy again and meeting the new manager Isabelle. Sales were good including one of the new 'dome' cat caves. On Sunday, May 4 we went to our first Steveston Market and despite the continuous rain, the folks in town came out to their market and many saw Jodi's felted items for the first time. No doubt, Steveston will be an exciting market under nicer weather conditions.
Last weekend, we were at our old 'haunts'; Saturday at Burnaby City Hall and Sunday at the new Ambleside location. For New World Felting, it was a new 2-day sales record. Amazing how much happier we all seem when the sun shines and the temps rise!
Jodi introduced new button-on cuffs and 'infinity' scarves and they were an instant hit. Jodi, as is often the case, was wearing her prototype infinity scarf and a customer actually offered to buy it right off her neck. Of course, Jodi has been busy this week making new products and infinity scarves take a little extra time.
Okay, now you are caught up with us. Upcoming markets this LONG weekend (thank goodness) are Lonsdale Quay on Saturday and Steveston on Sunday. Hope to see some repeat customers.
New announcements: We will be doing 4 shows in Whistler this summer/fall and New World Felting has introduced a 'munch' card for repeat customers to earn discounts based on their previous purchases.
